if you do watch firefly, just be warned that there is some pretty gross racism/lack of representation in it, despite the culture of the setting being a supposedly equal blend of american and chinese. the only chinese character to have any sort of speaking part in the entire series was a prostitute
All I ever heard about Firefly is the fact that ‘it ended too soon’ and nothing about racism or any other issues regarding race or sex. Thanks for the warning, though! At least I’m aware about this :) I actually don’t know what Firefly is truly about, so I still don’t know what I’m really getting into ahah.
